Resting
Into nature...
To present an offering.
To honour this space.
To challenge society.
How slow can you go in this moment, on this breath?
During this season, where can you rest into nature? Taking hints from its cooling, delight in its use of colors as they reflect in new ways upon scenes of hibernation.
Nature rests. Nature renews. The Earth offers reasons to nest, ways to come into stillness, to gather pieces of self that were cast to the doing.
Humans created the festivals, the rituals, the beliefs that this was also a time to be busy, to rile within chaos, trying to fill a wild expectation of being able to continue the pace of an ever- quickening world.
On this breath, where can you defy expectations?
A look to laugh…a release of at least one idea that has kept the pace of your mind racing.
You don’t have to take part. Permission to pause. To notice the delicious lowering of the sun turn from soft orange to burnt to gone. To refresh in nature’s offerings of wind through dried leaves, a bird’s call at first light, a deer’s silent presence.
Take notice, sweet human. Allow your breath to flow.
Summer’s heat will return.
Where can you rest with nature’s coolness to renew for all that is yet to come?
Please share this moment for resting into nature with someone who could use a moment.
